Thanks for your interest in the art of storytelling!

As a performer I have reinvented myself several times (Whispers the Clown, Magician, Puppeteer, Mother Goose, Granny Magic and Storyteller Glenda Bonin). These new directions have taken place in response to a need to pivot and redirect my talent, energy, and interests to reach new audiences and grow. I am currently developing a new body of work relating to the Westward Movement and Arizona History. This is not to say that I am no longer available to the audiences I have served in the past. This is simply a new direction and focus of my energy as I continue to grow as a performer and storyteller.

Glenda Bonin

As a touring professional storyteller; story teacher, festival performer and workshop presenter, I love what I do!

I currently specialize in creative engagement programs for senior living communities, with an emphasis on stimulating memories through personal family stories set in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. My repertoire of inter-active story performances for residents at assisted living and memory care sites has grown to include more than forty different subjects.

Other areas of expertise include school residencies (grades K-12), in services, festivals, conference workshops, presentations for college classes, library programs, family shows and community events.

My background includes fourteen years as a public relations, marketing and communications specialist for non-profit groups, and three years in the television industry. I have served on the boards of four community organizations, and coordinated successful fundraising events. I wrote and produced an educational film for a museum, and on three occasions I received awards and recognition for my work in public relations and communications.

I greatly appreciate the benefits and value of transferring skills and learning from one area to another. Life provides many opportunities to grow and contribute to the world around us, and this is what I find myself doing all the time. Before I entered the regular workforce, I raised five children and worked as a free-lance professional clown, magician and puppeteer. Each time I approach a new project, I call on many of the valuable skills I learned during the earlier periods of my life. In my current work as a touring performer and workshop presenter, I am pleased to be able to share a lifetime of experience and innovation with others through the art of storytelling.
